I’m sad. Not giving up…yet. Starting to feel like Cincy who was in Superbowl not too long ago - 2023. Nothing since then.

Loved the last two years. Praying it’s not over.

I don't know what anyone expects if the Lions somehow squirm into the playoffs. They have beat NOBODY this year. No good teams. The Bears, Ravens, Bucs...were not that good when the Lions beat them. Had the Lions at least beat the Packers, Philly or the Rams, that would have shown they can compete with the heavy weights.

Good defenses are going to stack the line against Gibbs. The Lions have had no answers. We essentially are operating without a TE and a 3rd receiver...one catch between them yesterday. Corum is looking like a great steal. We should have run Monty a bit more.

The secondary is too banged up. Nacua could have had 20 catches, no problem. He was open all game long. Tough to tackle too. They must coat his uniform in axle grease before the game. The refs love LA, so they wouldn't notice one bit.

This, as hard to take as it is, is not our year. The "Super Bowl" thing was based on last year's results. Come the 2026 season, the Lions will be far from the top contenders on the list. That might be a good thing as they revert to being underdogs again.

They did the best they could, but were outmanned on the road against a very strong team. That first-quarter interception shows just momentum-changing a turnover can be. But they needed another mistake like that in the second half and LA didn't accommodate them.

Not sure about the ref conspiracy. The penalty in the end zone on 4th down giving the Lions a first down just before DMo's wildcat TD was a total gift to the Lions and kept a comeback at least possible.

Jamo's jersey was literally stretched out in the defensive back's hands just a couple of plays earlier. It wasn't a conspiracy, just another example of a rulebook that is too difficult to administer consistently.

Everything is a judgment. In baseball every pitch that is not hit is judged to be a ball or strike. Not sure the exact average, but probably 200 or so calls per game. Video shows some are "wrong", but they are not changed. In football think about the number of plays per game, I would guess about 130, and each ref makes multiple decisions per play. They are watching half of the linemen or 2 or 3 receivers in the same play. That is a huge amount of judgement calls per game. As is obvious to every fan, they cannot even get static calls right all the time -- lining up offsides, tackle not on the line of scrimmage, when the play clock hits zero, etc. Just as the players and coaches make errors, so do the refs. It is part of being human or actually being living animals.

Good point. The rules are to ruleish.

No pass rush. Can't stop the deep ball. Offense is inconsistent. Hopefully we can beat Steelers, Vikings, and Bears to sneak into the playoffs, but most of our injured guys aren't coming back this year, so that might be the best case scenario for 2025. Still, would be nice to have a playoff game.

What do you consider the deep ball? Stafford went 3/10 on balls over 20 yards in the air, and at least one completion was because Reed fell down. Are the Rams bad against the deep ball? Because Goff was 4/5 on balls over 20 yards in the air.

Blame the horrific defense. Not the Refs.

Yup pretty much like I said “ Looks like one of those games where the Rams control the game, get a comfortable lead and answer when the lions score. The score will end relatively close but the game won’t be. The Lions win if they play like the 2022 last game against Greenbay.” The sad thing is, the game made me realize how far behind the team now is for competing in the NFC championship game again. I find it hard to name a position group that is better than last year.

The Lions did not lose because of the refs. They lost because the defense had no answers except for Hutch’s big play.

Is that who you're rooting for? The Fat Lady? And you're paying to be HERE?

Yes. I still have some hope since all the games have not been played. But I know all abut the Fat Lady. It's a normal feeling for me, as Lions fan for 68 years at this time of the schedule. I am aware that every season, the Lions are the Lions.

No doubt, the refs helped cool off the Lions with their horrible calls. One penalty called for PI and the other penalty they did on purpose. Of course the PI came when it was nearly impossible for the Lions to come back. So sick of it.

Against the good teams the Lions weaknesses really show. Left guard was bad center was bad, no Laporta and 3 backup DB’s while the D-line kept getting gashed all are a recipe for the L.

Another game where refs screwed over the lions I have lost count over the last 20 years
