The Lions didn’t end up making a move at the trade deadline, but coach Dan Campbell noted the team was actively engaged in conversations on Tuesday, even if nothing panned out.
How much does the OT situation worry everyone because it has me about two steps from panic mode.
Is the plan to hope Decker can stay healthy through any playoffs because that looks more doubtful every week. And if that is plan A are they saying plan B is hoping Skipper hasn't broken down and can come back to play his normal barely passable LT game. Plan C is Manu?
This doesn't sound like the plans of a Super Bowl contender. Sometimes you have to overpay for something you can't go without and the Lions have a desperate need for just a decent back-up OT.
So this next game features two teams with significant injuries. I think the case can be made that Washington has it worse, since they’re not going to have Jayden Daniels. For all the defenders of John Morton, how many points should the Lions be expected to score against one of the worst defenses in the NFL?
Looking forward to getting Paschal back and hoping he can get a break and stay healthy. In the short bursts we’ve had him, he’s shown he can have an impact.
I think we needed to do more in the offseason to shore up the O-Line rather than relying on what is essentially two rookies, one of whom is performing well (Ratledge) and the other who's been awful, and is now injured. O-line isn't fixable mid-season, and we are what we are now, which is likely a 10-win team who could potentially get hot in the playoffs, assuming we get there.
Ratledge is playing good football. I expect him to shift to center nexf year with Glasgow moving back to guard. Holmes will add more talent in the draft and possibly sign a mid-tier guard to shore up the subs.
We'll see if Mahogany is legitimate or backup material when he returns. Givrn his size snd athleticism, my guess is he will continue holding down left guard. If the team doesn't draft a first round tackle, I'd consider that a vote of confidence in Manu.
So they trade some draft picks for a plug-in player. Then you have to hope that player doesn't get injured or miss games. My Lion's fever is slowly dying. After nearly 60 years, it was in the pits. The last few years revived the fever...something seems off as we move through 2025.
No, don't let the fever abate! I am in the 60+year camp too. This is special...it doesn't feel like it this year after that game.....but savor the disappointment! It's not tolerated inside the building. I have been waiting 64 years to savor this kind of disappointment! When Earl McCullough dropped that pass in the 4th quarter against Dallas, you were devastated because you hoped but you knew they wouldn't get back the next year in the playoffs. No fans were bummed, we were just happy to make an appearance. And up until 2021, that was the organizational expectation.
Ugh, I can't believe that I'M saying this -- we don't want to peak in early November. We want to peak at the end of the year. Now is the time to try a bunch of different things, see what works and what doesn't, learn and grow. The team is still simmering, so of course we're not "feeling the fever" -- 'cause it's not done yet.
Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? H—- no!

Trouble is Blue decent back-up OT's are starting somewhere. We are kinda stuck with with who we have imo until the off season
That is why you need to overpay, law of supply and demand. You start offering a 2nd round pick and things can open up.
It wouldn't have been easy and maybe tough to swallow but take the best OT you can get for that 2nd round pick, hold your nose and take the plunge.
Everybody ready to trade for a DE and we think we know the EDGE players but we don't know the OTs.
Injuries take their toll and are part of every team as the season wears on. Replacement players performance is unknown. Hope hope hope.

Only one team has significant injuries. The Lions are banged up, but this is nothing like last year, which is what Washington looks like.
A baby fawn is the youngest type of fawn 😆

So many people know better than Campbell, Holmes, and all the scouts.
Really? What's your point? You trust a scout more than Campbell to read the room and lead a TEAM?
Seems like he was being facetious...

No arguing with his logic. Winning the next two games would certainly help convince everyone of that.
