Allen Park — Not since his first weeks on the job, when he fulfilled franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford’s trade request, has Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes faced such a turbulent offseason.

Things were admittedly simpler in 2021. Back then, Holmes was working with a blank canvas and low expectations. You can contend pressure is always high for NFL decision-makers — and you wouldn’t be wrong — but there was a built-in level of grace after inheriting a roster loaded with Patriot Way rejects.
