What?! Social media got something wrong?

Fantastic structure, in line with my expectations. BH is cooking. They'll continue to focus on the d-line now that they've got Reed signed too. I expect them to re-sign Levi, draft a DL or two in the early rounds, and there's a good chance they add one more in free agency, though I'd be surprised if they spend big on a deal longer than 2 years.

Not too bad at all. At least they aren't spending $80 million on another Flowers. Maybe all contracts should be based on playing time and incentives. You could set minimums for pay and a player would only see his full contract payout if he earned it.

Ah yes ... the ever elusive "incentive laden contract" I keep hearing about.

I appreciate the clarity. Davenport has always been about upside, unrealized tho it may be. At least we limit our exposure significantly with a very high degree of upside. I can definitely live with this payoff opportunity cost. Thx again!

In other words fans are dumb and reactionary

I'd put it that fans are underinformed and emotional. 🙂

I wasn't worried about the numbers, I expected a prove it deal. I'm worried that he will think this is good enough to address the edge position like he did last year and we won't go get anyone else for when he inevitably gets hurt in two games again.

I think it's something that merits evaluation after the draft. I can't criticize a hypothetical before free agency begins or the draft takes place.

Yeah I get that. I also assume you saw less measured more reactionary takes than I did given your position lol
