Great game. Loved DC taking over the play-calling. I think there's a fairly large grain of salt given the opponent, who have been beaten just as badly the last 3 weeks by the Seahawks, Chiefs, and Cowboys. Still, a step in the right direction and now we have a tough stretch against high-quality opponents and we'll see how it plays out. My hunch is we're a better team with Dan calling plays. We likely need to win 5 out of the remaining 8 to make the playoffs, and should handle the Giants, Vikings, and Steelers. Those other games we're likely underdogs or even, given Chicago is at home, so a tough challenge.

I like that there was such good balance between the run and the pass and completions to seven different players. Saw highlights, didn’t see game. Was there more play action, motion, misdirection?

dan campbell is the general and john morton is the corporal. john gets the troops ready, sets up the war plan but dan sees the enemy lines and knows when to say charge. so many clueless national writers wrote the team off when ben johnson left but this is dan's team and his brains run the show.

Some people are good being "the guy" and others are good at more behind the scenes roles....looks like Morton is the latter. Doesn't mean he doesn't bring value, but not sure if he is a play caller!

Last week I said I was seeing visions of Anthony Lynn.

I'm not counting out John Morton for the year. He's been around this team before. He knows the guys and the system. And I'm sure he can help. But it's looking like he should not be the one calling the plays, or setting the game plan.

I'm glad to see these guys respond. But going up against a banged up Washington team is not the same as going up against Philly. Next week will be a good barometer to see where this team is really at.

Week 18 is gonna be must see TV with Dan "Bad Ass" Campbell calling plays head to head against Ben Johnson.

Why? We’ll be resting our starters.

Great seeing them get a measure of revenge and beat up on a short handed Washington team. Don’t look now, but the Rams and Seahawks are both looking dominant now as well. The NFC will be a dogfight between the Eagles, Packers, Lions and those two teams.

The question we’re now all going to ask… is John Morton the second coming of Anthony Lynn? I’m not jumping to conclusions, and I’m guessing Dan is not doing that, but the difference in the offense between these two games is striking.

Very stylish glasses. Dan Campbell does not disappoint.

Good luck reading glasses. Even if he's not calling plays every game in the future, I think he should keep wearing them just to keep people guessing.

You posted less than one minute after final whistle. Legend! Lions with an incredibly easy W
