Allen Park — Welcome back to Week 5 of our 2027 NFL Draft Watch for the Detroit Lions, where we highlight three college prospects with televised matchups who overlap with the team’s projected needs for the upcoming offseason.

Let’s kick things off by looking at how the three players we highlighted last week performed in their matchups.

Texas S Jelani McDonald

Playing more than 80 snaps, mostly at free safety, McDonald recorded eight tackles and a pass breakup in Texas’ 20-17 win over Tennessee. He surrendered receptions on all three targets, but those grabs netted just 23 yards.

Georgia CB Ellis Robinson IV

In a dominant win over Oklahoma, the Sooners largely stayed away from Robinson, targeting him just twice in coverage. He allowed one reception for 14 yards and recorded a pass breakup on the other.

Missouri OL Cayden Green (No. 70)

Green was predictably dominant in pass protection, not allowing a single pressure on 44 dropbacks. However, he also had a hand in the Tigers’ subpar performance on the ground, including a fourth-quarter holding infraction, which contributed to the drive ending in a punt.
