Allen Park — Welcome back to Week 7 of our 2027 NFL Draft Watch for the Detroit Lions, where we highlight three college prospects with televised matchups who overlap with the team’s projected needs for the upcoming offseason.
Let’s kick things off by looking at how the three players we highlighted last week performed in their matchups.
Vicari Swain, CB, South Carolina
Swain was kept busy in an upset win over Florida, seeing seven targets. He gave up five grabs for 51 yards, but he also snagged an interception when the game was still close in the opening half. Unfortunately, the dangerous return man didn’t get an opportunity to field a punt in the victory.
Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon
Johnson was a non-factor in a loss to UCLA, with backup quarterback Dylan Raiola struggling much of the afternoon. The usually dynamic Johnson caught just one of his three targets for 13 yards.
KJ Bolden, S, Georgia
Bolden didn’t have a banner day, either, giving up a pair of long completions and missing two tackles. His most noteworthy snap was getting away with a pass interference before coming up with a sack on the ensuing third down to knock Alabama out of field goal range, preserving Georgia’s conference victory.
