Allen Park — Welcome back to Week 9 of our 2027 NFL Draft Watch for the Detroit Lions, where we highlight three college prospects with televised matchups who overlap with the team’s projected needs for the upcoming offseason.
Let’s kick things off by looking at how the three players we highlighted last week performed in their matchups.
Ty Benefield, S, LSU
Benefield played more than 60 snaps in LSU’s 38-17 win over Auburn, seeing most of the work between the box and the slot. He gave up receptions all three times he was targeted, but for just 26 yards, while making two runs stops and delivering a drive-ending sack in the first half.
