After trimming the team's initial roster to 50 before freeing up a fourth spot by shipping wide receiver Tim Patrick to Jacksonville for a 2026 draft pick, the Lions filled their final opening on Friday, claiming former Las Vegas Raiders safety Thomas Harper off waivers.
The Lions won 15 games in 2024. That has only happened nine times in the history of the NFL by 9 different teams. Have the Lions regressed? Perhaps, but not by much on paper. Have many of the other teams we will play made stellar advances in personnel? Doubtful. We expect teams like Buffalo, Baltimore, Philly, KC, Washington and a few others to still be really good teams. So why not the Lions also? We are in a new era of Liondom.

Poor Tyrus Sweat.
As the president and sole member of the Tyrus Wheat fan club, I know he will find motivation from the disrespect.
I knew the Lions weren’t gonna start the season with only 8 DB’s…
top special teams contributor is a common phrase for these waiver claims.
