Allen Park — In Sunday’s strength-on-strength matchup, the Detroit Lions offense fell short of its normal output against the vaunted Minnesota Vikings defense.

However, the 19 points and 384 yards the Lions posted in the victory were the most the Vikings had surrendered since the season opener, and the 230 yards the Lions racked up on the ground were far and away the most allowed by the NFC North foe through seven games.

So, all in all, there was more to like about the results than not, especially since it came with a win.

For this week’s film review, we’re going to explore why the Lions were able to get the ground game going, particularly in the second half, and how the offense managed to weather some early-game struggles against the Vikings’ relentless pressure packages.
