If he’s an upgrade from Glasnow, it’s a pretty small one, not that I think the Lions had a lot of other options. Linderbaum was impractical given the current state of things. A new Ragnow just isn’t in the cards any time soon, with all the holes still left to fill.
I was surprised, since I don't know a lot of his stats, to see several commentators here saying Mays has terrible rankings from PFF. I hope and imagine that the Lions know more about his potential than PFF
Did Tate and Mays pathes cross at Georgia?

Mays is a considerable upgrade. Glasgow was atrocious.
Called his shot.
I wonder if his perceived weakness at run blocking has anything to do with the guards he played with?
The panthers have spent a lot of money on their guards given Bryce’s stature. I’m not sure how well regarded they have been but they aren’t slouches.
Very pleased with this.
Let's hope he's still ascending. #InBradWeTrust

not a good run blocker, but close to elite pass blocker.
Yes, and I hope that's not true-running game is key
Very good signing
You called it, Justin! Happy to see this.
Deflecting some credit, it kind of became easy when McGovern and Biadasz came off the board.
Yup. Honestly…we had no choice.
If it wasn't Mays it was gonna be dire straits.
And Mark Knopfler’s PFF grade sucks.
And Mark Knopfler, while a wonderful guitar player and composer, is not a competent NFL interior lineman.
Feels good. Keep cookin
