Detroit — Detroit Lions All-Pro linebacker Jack Campbell suffered a neck injury in the early moments of the fourth quarter during the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
Campbell had been in on the stop on a third-and-15 throw to TJ Hockenson. Campbell went limp as he went to the ground and stayed face down on the turf.
Medical staff tended to him for several minutes, before removing his jersey, strapping him to a spinal board and stabilizing his neck with a brace.
Campbell was eventually loaded on to a cart as the entire Lions team and coaching staff surrounded him before being taken off the field.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
We’ll update this post as we get more information.

We are all praying for Jack Campbell for minimal damage and a speedy recovery 🙏🙏🙏
The TV replay didn't look that bad. Just goes to show that even a routine looking play can have horrific results. I hope that Jack can play again soon, but much more importantly, hope for Complete healing and the stability of his short and long-term health.
