Everything you need to know about Lions/Buccaneers, including how to watch, betting line, injury report, officiating and broadcast crews, and three things to watch.
Love the names today, especially Jammie. Born to be a DB I guess. Also loving these 7PM game starts. So much easier to make it to the end (says this crabby Boomer 😆).
I think 5-2 feels a lot different going into the bye than 4-3, so this game feels even bigger than it is. Given the schedule this season, I was expecting a step back, and I still am. I'm just going to enjoy the ride. I think the future is bright, regardless of any damage the bumps on the road might do.
If Vea breaks through, it is an awful lot to expect a back or even a TE to slow him down. On obvious passing downs would it make sense to have the most agile backup OL as the protector? It would eliminate a receiver/outlet (unless they pull a Ben Johnson), but might give JG an extra second and avoid a hit.
I'm curious, Justin. Why are you confident that Robertson and Ya-sin should be able to handle Mike Evans' size and keep his production in check? He obviously isn't a youngster anymore, but he had more receiving yards than Jamo last year and certainly knows how to make use of the six-inch size advantage he'll have over those two.
Because both specialize in physical man to man coverage and Ya-Sin has routinely demonstrated an ability to flip his hips and stay in phase deep. Doesn't mean Evans won't get his. He's a future Hall of Famer. But I think the Lions can tilt enough attention his way with safety brackets on top of the man coverage to prevent a game-wrecking performance. You can live with 6-7 catches for 100 yards.
That's not typical. A CB might get pulled because they're struggling, or if a team is trying to get a young player a taste without overwhelming them. Rotating guys isn't particularly helpful, schematically.

Did you really slip in a 6 7 reference?
Congrats Justin. It's Monday
I should probably know this, but to CBs and Corners get pulled/rotated through the course of a game like a "hot hand" approach?
I'm wondering if we're not going to try a few different looks out there to confuse Baker and to get the B-team some more live reps.
