Great mailbag, thanks Justin, truly I feel like I get not just great value from this subscription, but great entertainment. You put in a lot of work to answer questions in the chat threads and via mailbag. Love how you are comprehensive with both film analysis pieces and writing on bigger picture storylines.
Mentioned it in a couple places and definitely the previous weeks podcast. Larry Warford got his ass kicked day in and day out during his rookie camp by Suh and Fairley. It was bad, shook Warford's confidence, but he came out the other side an excellent player from those battles. It's a comp I've been using for Blake Miller against Aidan Hutchinson. It's not a fair fight, right now, or maybe ever, but it should make Miller better faster.
I understand it was Warford too because I saw you write about it in one of your articles many years ago 🤣🤣 it was part of explaining the o line overhaul of Reiff and Warford for Rick Wagner and T.J. Lang. I’ve been following your Lions coverage for a long time man, appreciate ya still delivering the goods after many years.
After reading articles on different sites I always save yours for last. I feel like there is more inside information but also it’s what you see and understand at the time. Your explanations for questions are usually spot on yet not condescending. I really liked your comments on Holmes being better than most GMs in the league. Brad’s not perfect and it’s downright silly to think he should be. I’ve followed the Lions my whole life and have never felt as good about the Lions as I do now with Dan and Brad. I was six years old when our Lions won a championship so it’s been a lifetime of disappointment. I might be in the minority but I believe we will be sitting pretty come playoff time. At the end of the season the big question will be “Where can I get playoff tickets?”
First, I love the in-depth articles you put together. It gives me some insight into the players that is more insightful than just the information I can find online. However, I love the mailbag too. I feel like I get a quick hit approach to topics that gives what seems like inside information. Knowing you are at the practices and talking to both players and coaches, you seem to have a nice feel for why decisions are being made. Keep up the great work! My subscription has been worth every penny with the information I get from your writing. Thanks Justin.
Thanks for the mailbag, Justin. And thanks for treating it as exactly that. Some folks will tout a mailbag and then push you to a podcast, which is a peeve of mine. I like reading more than hearing, especially when it comes without filler or ads.

@justin - you made a reference to Ndamukong Suh and Larry Warford in practice in the last podcast, what was the background on that?

This also reminded me of a certain o line coach who shook Warford’s confidence, I give Larry a ton of credit for overcoming that.
That was more of a Tomlinson issue.

Really even you talk about Dortch? JEEZ I suppose we'll hear his name at least 20 times when the Lions play the Bills
He's answering someone's question lol
It's like the context of my answer was completely ignored.
Wasn't ignored just too much Dortch
That was 100% the point of the answer.
