Whenever I read a question like "should we blow the whole thing up and start over" it makes me pessimistic for the human race. How any adult human being can ask that about this situation is unbelievable

The top sirloins I grill (from my local butcher) are incredible. Prefer bone-in. Pretty sure I would have a chance against a waygu steak in a blind taste test.

I'm in the wrong business. I can't even afford a Wagyu ribeye.

"OK, who let the 97.1 Ticket Texter in here?" just made my day 😅

I remember thinking last year at this time that Fraley could work wonders with just about anyone. I wonder if and how much that kind of thinking impacted the Lions draft and free agency plans?

Thanks a lot, your analogy is making me hungry.

Hi Justin,

How does the quality of Center compare between who is available in free agency (that we can likely afford) vs who we could get in the Draft?

I don't think either setup is ideal. Linderbaum, if he even makes it to free agency, has the potential to reset the market. And Connor McGovern is also looking at a contract north of a $15 million average. It's a drop-off after those guys, but who knows if the Lions see an available option that has upside in their scheme. The draft isn't loaded with center talent, by all accounts. I'm familiar with the names, but haven't studied their tape, so I would just be regurgitating the opinions of others on guys like Lew, Slaughter, Jones, etc..

In the discussion between O Line talent vs coaching I’d say the number one issue last year over these two was the overall health of the unit including Sewell. That’s not to say the talent was as good as the previous year with Rags and Zeitler of course. I don’t put much blame on coaching at all.

More than ever, what choices made by teams drafting ahead of Detroit along with free agency will dictate what personnel change will take place in the 2026 roster. Hopefully, those selections will be made based on abilities on the field and the players injury history.
