Hopefully the coaching staff can get him up to speed and contributing soon.

Any news on Martin's return?

I don't think they can afford any more D-line losses.

I like this move. If nothing else, he'll be a solid rotational piece.

Justin, do you wonder if the Lions are going to see how the defense plays this weekend and waiting closer to the deadline to see where they stand? I don’t foresee a big splash but surely there’s some decent talent that could become available as we get closer to the deadline.

If I'm being honest, I never expected them to make a deal the next day or the next week. I think they needed to assess the situation, internally and externally, to see what was tenable. If they go to Minnesota and can't affect the QB, it could certainly rachet up the urgency, though.

The year. Torn pectoral

He exited and was ruled out with a pectoral injury almost immediately. Presumably torn. If that's the case, season ending.

Not the acquisition you're looking for, but sounds like a very low-risk depth dice roll on what they must feel is coachable talent with above-decent potential.

The best way to land ‘the one’ is to show her/him that you have other options.

This shows we don’t have to make a big move
