Congrats on your year and good luck going forward. Regarding podcasts, sorry you have to rethink that. Maybe try being a guest on other ones more to raise your profile/extend your reach? This one is smaller and not traditional journalists but provide some interesting views on the NFC North which may help you to draw in people outside the Lions sphere (The Paul Farrington Show): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCocZrmf49BneZ7x0U8PSLww
Congrats Justin! I really appreciate your perspective and all you do to bring us daily, thoughtful insights about our favorite team. You’re my first stop for Lions coverage, keep up the great work!
Congrats, Justin. I think people who signed up the first day should get a special avatar--not cause we think we're cool, but because you are. Beyond that an extra mailbag once in a while wouldn't kill you.
Congratulations on the first anniversary of DFN, Justin! The internet trained me to love free content, and to loathe subscriptions, but your coverage is worth every penny that we pay. Keep up the great work and best wishes for an even stronger second year!
Congratulations Justin! This is without a doubt the best place to get Lions news. Your in depth writing and attention to detail is so good, I always look forward to reading the next article.
Justin, thank you for all the Lions info. No.1 place to find the latest news and other tidbits. No need for anyone to look anywhere else. I appreciate your professionalism and dedication to this job. Hopefully this is the year! Go Lions!
I love the channel. Your writing is on point, but I am still a little saddened that many of your articles are cut off with much of them behind the pay-wall.
I get that part of it.
I just don't enjoy reading a couple paragraphs of a story, and then not getting the whole story.
There are many of us out here that can't afford so many entertainment avenues, even those of our beloved Lions.
I just wish there was a way to get more content without the expenditures.
My salary is 100% paid by the audience. I have no sponsors, ads, or silent partners. It's just you, me and the value of my work. There are things I can't afford in life, as well, and I have to make those decisions. But I also don't go into the grocery store and ask for free eggs, expect my barber to cut my hair for free, or a sales rep to forego their commission.
This site, the 50-60 hours a week I put into the content, is how I pay for my mortgage, groceries and raising my children, who are inching closer and closer to college.
Thanks Justin! Proud subscriber from the start. “Locked On” turned me on to you. Best wishes for bigger success in year two.

John,

Like I said Justin, I get it!
I only mentioned that it saddens me that I can't see all of it.
I wasn't asking you to give it all to me free.
I know we all have choices to make. Unfortunately, I can't choose to pay for your content just as I can't with a bunch of other's.
I merely stated what I'm sure many others feel but don't say it.
Congratulations on 1 year!
I'll still be here reading your fine work, so hopefully you better understand my post.
Congratulations on your 1st year. It takes courage to leave a steady safe job and do something much bigger! Keep up the good work.
