Allen Park — Here are some notes and observations from the Detroit Lions’ 13th training camp practice of the 2024 offseason.

● A good way to get yourself off the roster bubble is to make your impact undeniable. That’s exactly what safety Brandon Joseph has been doing the past few days.

After getting a lot of work with the first-team defense during the early stages of the offseason program — while projected starters Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph recovered from surgeries — Joseph has been a turnover machine in recent days.

He intercepted a pass Thursday, in the preseason opener against the Giants, and snagged another during Sunday’s practice. Both of those were similar, in the sense the play call was better than the play, where all Joseph had to do was secure a ball thrown directly into his chest. But on Monday, he turned it up a notch.

After cornerback Kindle Vildor broke up a Jared Goff deep ball intended for Donovan Peoples-Jones, Joseph made a diving interception off the deflection, extending and getting both hands under the ball before it could hit the ground.

“I know I can do that,” Joseph said. “Those are my favorite types of plays. I love being able to show my ball-tracking, my ball-hawking ability. And when there's a chance for me go get that thing, whether it's high point, lay out, readjust and catch a tip, those are 100% more fun than the ones that just come to me. The ones that just come to me, honestly, I got shake my coach's hand and say, 'I appreciate you for making that call.' But when I go make the play, I love showing out and showing what I can do.”
