What if Manu fills in at starting guard?

O-line would be better than last year. (Hope this ages well.)

Great review Justin. I like that they are getting competitive spirit going for the schedule. I get a feeling that offensive line in some shape, WR and D line are looked at by the drafting group. Seems Cornerback need is much less now and they want a good D lineman- not end or tackle. And a good O lineman- not guard or tackle!

My two takeaways are that both Brad and Dan seem ECSTATIC that they got Levi back on a comfortable deal - so that's really interesting. My other is that given how DC is commenting on the other groups, it almost feels (almost) that we could be taking a receiver in the first round. Wouldn't shock me, or upset me.

II don’t know who out there had been living right (wasn’t me) that God saw fit to bring Dan Campbell to Detroit. But thank you 🙏

“We can say, 'Well this is our scheme, this is what we're running.' No, no, no. They're the ones who make it what it is. That's our playbook, those guys."

This made me tear up. It’s so true and we forget this simple recipe so much. Talent is so important.

Manu-to-guard has got to be a smokescreen. I don't see that ever happening.

Do you suppose the Lions showed a lack of foresight in not giving Manu more reps at guard last year?

No. You don't further overwhelm an overwhelmed rookie.

Given his sizable lack of experience coming in, I think that has to apply in year 2 as well. I can’t imagine they’ll burden him with learning the G position at this point.
