The Detroit Lions came away with a hard-fought, overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the season opener. The game provided edge-of-your-seat entertainment, and what makes Week 1 so much more compelling is the quantity of unknowns.

We came into the matchup unsure about whether the Jameson Williams hype was real. We didn't know if the defensive line would be better or the reconfigured secondary could have an instant impact. And for every question answered, new ones emerged, like where in the hell was All-Pro receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown?

The initial viewing of the game provides surface-level comprehension that satisfies the masses, but a deeper dive into the film gives us a more thorough understanding of what happened and why.
