Knowing the NFL, I’m surprised the refs didn’t call holding penalties when the players locked arms in the prayer circle. Clete would have called them.

In Justin’s previous article he added a link in the comments to the ESPN injury update, and I geeked out and summarized it. Some of you may find this interesting (I know I did, but also know this is the first and last time I’ll do this!!).

Summary (for all 32 teams)

Total: 380 min 4 max 25 avg 23.1

(plus or minus 3 sigma range is 9.2-37.0) - see comment at end

IR: 70 min 0 max 6 avg 3.7

Out: 73 min 0 max 9 avg 4.4

Quest’ble: 250 min 1 max 21 avg 15.0

Teams on our schedule (plus 49ers, who have the most)

ATL 4 1 IR, 2 out, 1 questionable

BAL 10 2 IR, 2 out, 6 questionable

CHI 15 1 IR, 1 out, 13 questionable

CIN 9 1 IR, 0 out, 8 questionable

CLE 12 3 IR, 4 out, 5 questionable

DAL 19 2 IR, 4 out, 13 questionable

DET 20 6 IR, 7 out, 7 questionable

GB 16 2 IR, 3 out, 11 questionable

HOU 16 2 IR, 9 out, 5 questionable

KC 10 2 IR, 2 out, 6 questionable

LAC 11 3 IR, 2 out, 6 questionable

LAR 10 0 IR, 0 out, 10 questionable

MIA 17 5 IR, 2 out, 10 questionable

MIN 6 1 IR, 1 out, 4 questionable

NYG 13 2 IR, 4 out, 7 questionable

PHI 14 0 IR, 1 out, 13 questionable

PIT 10 3 IR, 0 out, 7 questionable

SF 25 2 IR, 2 out, 21 questionable

TB 13 1 IR, 5 out, 7 questionable

WAS 6 1 IR, 3 out, 2 questionable

I know enough statistics to be dangerous … since min can’t be below 0, this data is skewed, and this plus or minus 3 sigma (standard deviations) probably should be treated differently, but it’s beyond my skillset.
