One guy in the 4-5 round rage is Dalton Johnson from Arizona. Grit for days. Good all around safety and a special team monster. I’d love to see him in Honolulu blue.

It hadn't clicked for me that late-round safety really doesn't make sense for us. I'm worried about safety, but I think it's a next year issue. The band-aids are already on the roster, and the developmental options won't displace them.

Would it be crazy to try Branch at linebacker if it turns out he's lost a step after the injury?

Yes. He's not big enough to hold up inside the tackle box down in and down out.

It seems most years there are some players that everyone thinks will be a first rounder that ends up slipping to the second. I'm wondering who might fit the bill this year. Safety seems like a logical spot given the value proposition of drafting one in the first.

I think the first round is going to be filled with a LOT of OTs and EDGEs.

There's going to be premier talent available at the top of the second round.

Interesting that Kilgore and Payne are not mentioned.

Kilgore is often listed as a CB, he’s more nickel than safety…I thought.

LSU’s AJ Haulcy and TCU’s Bud Clark

If Clark slips to Day 3, sign me up.

Pretty sure Clark is going day 2.

I've generally seen projections of very late Day 2 or early Day 3. Regardless, my point stands. I wouldn't have (m)any qualms about trading up into Rd 3 for him. I'd run to the podium if he was still there in Rd 4.
