I can see J-Mo calling plays again. Maybe not this year, but next year does not seem out of the question. How DC spoke about the first time be took play-calling and the benefit to BJ of watching DC call a game was real illustrative.
I doubt he ever calls NFL plays again but he can still be a valuable member of the coaching staff. It bothered me when Birkett kept trying to bait him into saying something negative about the team at his presser. Birkett is becoming more like Carlos every day.
So, I've watched the Morton portion of the coordinator press conference 3 times (yes I have no life). I know the beat reporters want their particular question answered, but it seemed to me that more than one that asked the same question worded a little different. I almost felt bad for the man. I mean how many ways can he answer how it felt being demoted? Just to be clear, this is not a criticism of Justin. He always asks good questions.
I am also proud of Morton disappointed that the questions didn’t stop after the second or third and move onto football. It was just like you were trying to get him to say something irresponsible. He handled it well time to get on with our lives.
Play-caller, with input. This is where Morton/Fraley/Montgomery and player input matter. Of course, I think you'd find there are few drive-to-drive adjustments. The bigger changes, when they happen, are at the half.

I’ve always been a little hard pressed to understand exactly what Grit is. I think maybe it’s this.
He’s definitely has the attitude of a guy that doesn’t want to leave. Great response.
What's weird is how much more comfortable he seems compared to last week.

Spectacular demonstration of the culture that’s been built here. Ingrained at all levels.

Wow, great leadership!!! Lots of respect for that man.
Ever said “man up”? This is what that looks like.
Campbell hired the right guy.
Thanks Justin. Ok now it’s all about Phili. Can’t wait for the game to see how they measure up on the road in a hostile environment. Go Lions!
A great response but also great questions from the beat.
Johnny Morton is a grown up.
Respect for Morton for this.
Who would be responsible for in- game adjustments drive to drive? Is that Play Caller or OC looking for things to take advantage of each series?
And if MCDC gets ejected from a game, is Morton the backup play caller then?
