The Baltimore Ravens bullied the Detroit Lions the last time these two teams met in 2023. This time, the Lions answered with long drives, a sack-happy defense, and a gutsy fourth-down conversion to impressively put away the AFC Super Bowl contender.
Barnes is probably the most underrated key player the Lions have and getting him paid is a bargain now! He was probably the most missed lion of all next to Aiden.
Spy is a dirty word to Sheppard. Don't ask me why. He must have a different definition of the concept. I joked around with some of the linebackers about it this week. He loses his mind when you call it spy.
Very excited for your film review Justin. Very curious on Terrion. Did not hear his name a lot on the broadcast outside of those chunk plays which leads me to wonder if he did play tight coverage at times
That first goal line stand by the defense was the turning point of the game. Detroit's offense strung together many fantastic drives, but forcing Henry and Jackson to give ground made a visible difference in the defense's confidence.
The relatively close score detracts from the brutality executed game plan the Lions dished out to the unsuspecting and ill-prepared Ravens.
Many were surprised by Muhammad; those of us here at DFN were not.
One game doesn't make the total season record but this game sure got the juices going looking ahead.

I like that Kelvin Sheppard is open to using a spy on running QBs. May have been the difference between winning and losing.

I believe Dan Campbell or one of the players said "spy" last night during the after game interviews.
"Spatial Containment Specialist"
Felt line the interior line — both offense and defense — showed up big time.

The 7 sacks were due, in large part, to good coverage. Jackson was unable to find open receivers, so the coverage did a great job.
Going to be tough this week. Very condensed week with travel and a lost day.
Totally understandable! Travel safe.
Well written as always
The way the defense was handling lamar's rushing lanes with a dude coming free was beautiful. It was so so disciplined
Beautiful game

Kelvin Sheppard is my hero.
Amazing how well the team played. I thought the defense played much better than the final score
Great game. Welcome back, everyone who gave up after the Packers!
Can we please stop all the hand-wringing about edge rushers??
Campbell's post game comment about that was spot on. Hey maybe the Z crowd will become the "we need to fire Morton" crowd.
Never a doubt
