As far as Smith, is he a clear upgrade at pass rush to Davenport? If he is he is worth $5 million even on just passing downs. Problem is, that would also lock him in to replace Davenport if he gets injured yet again. I wouldn't want him on the field for running downs.
I'd love to know if Brad Holmes knew that Frank Ragnow was going to retire, when he made his best and final offer to Kevin Zeitler. Not that Zeitler would or could play center, but he played at a very high level at Guard last year. If he had re signed here, maybe the Lions best five OL would be with Ratledge playing Center. The Titans paid Zeitler about $3M more than the Lions paid last year, so maybe even if Holmes did know Ragnow was retiring, that might have been too rich.
Justin, I may be at the Redskins game with people from work. If there is enough interest, and you’re there, maybe we organize a “Mr. DFN goes to Washington” gathering
Here's what my road schedule typically looks like. I arrive to town Saturday afternoon. Sometimes early, sometimes late. I try to stay in town, but airport is often more practical. Not sure if I've booked D.C. lodging yet. Game days, I arrive at the stadium three hours early and usually leave five hours after the final whistle, ballpark. So I have windows, but they're early and late. If there's a genuine effort putting together a gathering, I have said before I will show up at the bar/tailgate/probably not some random guy's house party, but maybe.
I see Hutch getting $175 million over 4 years. Or because the Packers went haywire on Parsons maybe Hutch is the next $50 million dollar man. I think we are a major injury away from the O-line or D-line being blown apart. Then maybe the competition is in the same boat.
Regarding a GG alien abduction, I think Ratledge at C is the first move, not the last. That get's Awosika into the lineup over Eguakun, which I think the team prefers. Mid-game, I think you're probably right, but with a week to prep? Ratledge.
Just to keep the record straight, according to PFF, Z ranks higher (with the exception of Hutch), in setting the edge and stopping the run than any other player on the roster!
Admittedly Z's strength is pass-rushing, but he is more than adequate in run defense.
That's fair, but for those of us who don't watch tape, the only way to objectively assess a player's performance is through an independent third party.

Boy, thanks for batting down that tripe about holing on every play.

Not familiar with that team.
Oops… Commanders*. (Excuse the muscle memory)

Loved the explanation on holding Hutch.
Random update Justin: the 'heart' button/icon is back and, at least by this reader, actuated. Wait, selected. Toggled? Pressed?... Engaged?!? Bah.
its back for me as well
You've toggled by heart, Macenzie.
The Glascow line was epic JR👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
40 lbs since May?? That's fantastic! What - did you have surgery or something? 😉
Great job.
Nope. Ate less, averaged 10 miles of walking per day, plus some other exercise sprinkled in.

Zero reps at the position since he was moved off of it says otherwise.

I don't rely on PFF. I watch the tape and write film reviews weekly, preferring my own assessments.

I'd say look closer at what data is available. 291 snaps in Detroit, 67 rushing snaps. The Lions didn't play him against the run. There's a reason.
