Allen Park — Here are some notes and observations from the Detroit Lions’ Wednesday’s mandatory minicamp practice.

● There were no changes with participation, which critically means there were no new injuries.

Defensive back Brian Branch (Achilles), safety Kerby Joseph (knee), guard Ben Bartch (foot), defensive back Avonte Maddox (personal) and tight end Tyler Conklin (unknown) remained sidelined.

● I wanted to follow up on the multi-chamber JUGS-like machine I mentioned in yesterday’s observations. I didn’t have enough information to explain it beyond that, but was able to locate the product online today.

It’s called The Seeker and it’s produced by Monarc. They describe the device as “An intelligent training partner that can emulate any type of game-like pass, kick or punt.”

You can read more about it here.

● The practice built up to a situational segment, where the offense took over at its own 35-yard line, down nine points, with 1:59 and three timeouts remaining.
