Wanted to quit on this team Sunday night but now Im glad I get a chance to watch the Lions again tomorrow. Win, put some heat on Green Bay. Who knows?.Pretty soon we may be out of football for 8 months so enjoy while we can.

I knew this amount of regression was possible for the Lions, but SuperDan wouldn't let it happen, would he? That's why NFL seasons are so entertaining and that's why I'm emotionally keeping the Lions at arm's length in the moment. But Not For Long--I don't know how to quit the Lions. And I'm thankful for DFN and your clear-eyed assessments that I wish I didn't HAVE to read. Thanks for the millionth time, Justin.

I'm with those of you already looking forward to the off-season changes and new hope with the draft. Finishing last in the Division means we'll be playing the last place teams in two other divisions next season instead of the top teams. Hope springs eternal...

The NFL needs to not have any games on Christmas. Not looking forward to the next 6 months as another crummy Lion's season is over-analyzed, picked apart and second guessed. It does not matter. The 2025 season will have nothing to do with 2026.

If the Lions play their cards right they can wrap this up.

New Year coming! New coaching staff? New roster? New hope. 68 years a Lions fan. Looking forward to the draft.

Glad you decided to stay home for this one Justin. Win or lose I don’t think we are going to miss anything by you enjoying egg nog on your couch 😂

The Lions are not the only team having a crappy year. The Vikes, Commanders, Chiefs, Ravens and Buccaneers have all taken a step back this year.

The common denominator is injuries. Everyone in the league has them. But in the end, it's typically the healthiest teams that make it to the playoffs and get deep into it.

Chicago is looking great this year. They are also relatively healthy. As is LA. As is Seattle. It matters.

It also matters that you draft guys that do not come from a history of major injuries in college.

As of Dec. 3, Chicago had the most games lost to injury in the league. It's not just injury, but who is injured.

No kidding? I had read the Lions had the 2nd most games lost in the NFL so far this year due to injury. I did not see who had the first and I would never had guessed the Bears.

Clearly, it's not just the injury. But in the Lions case, we came into the year with a questionable 'fix' at OL. Then we lost the guys slotted in as starters, moved guys into other positions, used 2nd, then 3rd string. It has killed our running game, and in games where the opposing team has a strong pass rush, killed Goff's time to throw. There were games in which we never passed downfield. He couldn't. Didn't have the time.

Chicago's success this year can be laid on the quality of their OL (and their coaching staff).

Merry Christmas to you Justin. And thanks for the work you do. This is a great source for Lions fans.
