It’s a win. A good win? that’s debatable but it’s a adequate win. The offense having to score 31 points a game to win or have a chance to win is likely unsustainable. Are the Lions going to be the best of a group of mediocre teams, probably. Of course this changes with defensive upgrades to the backfield and I don’t believe Branch coming back will be sufficient as that upgrade.
Dan was way too pleased with that performance in his post game press conference. Dude has really set the bar low. The window is definitely closed if that sort of game is worth celebrating.

I think there has to be a happy medium between MP’s soul-sucking negativity and the joy radiating out of DC (“that was what the doctor ordered”) after an objectively pedestrian performance.
You cover the spread and end the game in victory formation in the NFL you celebrate the W. Vaki, Teslaa, Rakestraw all flashed and Chuck Clark is legit. Jets made plays, credit to them and specifically Garrett Wilson. They fought tooth and nail. Big win.
He is a liability in coverage and vs the run. His former DC’s team attacked him whenever he was on the field. He lost his gap responsibility and got put in the wash whenever he had to change direction. I honestly don’t understand why Lions fans love this undersized, stiff hipped special teamer

Hall and Wilson both out at the end of that game was a big break for the Lions. DJ Reed, though. I sure thought he was better than this.
