Billed as a heavyweight fight between two of the top teams in the NFC, the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers went toe-to-toe in a thrilling slugfest Thursday night at Ford Field.
That tripped up hand off by Goff to Monty near the end was my play of the game. When things are going your way, you can do little wrong. Jamo has really turned into an all-season pass grabber. Take away Love's 59 yarder and the D held him to under 150 yards otherwise. After so many fruitless decades, I still can't believe what I'm seeing.
Had the feeling at halftime that this one was going to end up 38-35, Lions. I was close! Hard to add anything that has not already been said, but I loved DC calling the new guys on D “Northern Savages.” Hilarious.
Really impressed by this Lions team. They are clearly all in on Campbell and his trust in him, and with as much as they were missing on defense and as well as Jordan Love played tonight, that was as close to a signature win as you can get in the regular season.
The difference for me, I always had confidence they would find a way to win this game. So 180 from the past.
