Fans giving up already shouldn’t expect players with grit. Like the man said whether you believe you can do a thing or not you are probably right. Go Lions!

One year they suffer a gargantuan number of injuries and go 15-2. Next year about the same and they may finish 9-8. The only NFL games I can stand to watch are if the Lions are playing. Now that is becoming tenuous. Looks like New England is back in the driver's seat for another decade.

Sad to see this happen. The hope is he can get fully recovered and come back stronger next season.

This team was already done after they lost to the Packers again on Thanksgiving Day.

With every bit of bad news I just want to say, "fine, we'll get 'em next year" and stop paying attention. Then I look at the standings and the schedules and convince myself that playoffs are still a possibility as long as we win 4 outta the last 5. So I suppose I'll stay glued to the machine until we're officially eliminated from the post-season. FWIW as of this morning ESPN had the Lions with a 44% chance to make the playoffs. Not terrible.

I understand it’s usually a reactive comment that is thrown around loosely by most fan bases during an injury plagued season. I’m finally ready to ask - at what point do the Lions seriously consider overhauling their strength and conditioning staff? The head S&C coach is a Patricia era hire. It feels like it’s time for change.

Last year, a lot of it was broken bones.
