..."would significantly boost the team’s Super Bowl odds."...in the 2026 season. The Lions are one stumble from being on the outside looking in come January.

Even if this is just for the rest of this year...the Lions better make sure Tate is stuck to his side if he is the future C of this team. I want Tate to see what it takes to be the best C in the league.

The Lions have a lot of excellent players injured right now. They need to hang on and win enough games to make it to the playoffs. If they can do that, they're going to be a team noone wants to face. The defense is gonna have to pitch a near perfect game tomorrow, and special teams needs to step up too. Even if the offense can't move the ball reliably tomorrow, they need to play a turnover free game.

Never in a million years did I think he was coming back. Story book level stuff.

Ragnow is a professional with a strong record! Don’t fret about if he will be ready when back in the lineup! He’s not looking at the money by coming back but just his dedication to the Lions organization & his teammates! Let’s Go Lions!!!

Wasn't it apparent from social media posts that Frank has lost a lot of weight already? I worry this is just getting fans hopes up and won't amount to much.

After a night to sleep on it; I agree this might not amount to much on the field for a while. Mentally Frank is ready to go but he hasn’t played football for something like 10 months. Physically it will be over a month before he is ready to go and maybe longer before he is back to what we expect of him. The current team still needs to win games and get us in the playoffs; then this could become a big deal.

Yay. Win tomorrow or it will not matter though.

What's exciting about this besides the obvious is that it also opens the door for him returning next year, which would give us a nice window to draft a replacement and get them ready when he finally retires for real.

Re: tomorrow's game -- who in the world is going to play center??

PS Re: tomorrow's game -- Gibbs is going to have to have a DAY for us to have a chance, given all the injuries.

My expectation is that Colon starts, and Niese is the backup.

@Justin....when do you think he plays? 2-3 weeks or is he in shape? any indication? No way its against the Packers

It's hard to imagine he's in shape to play no?

Immediately? Seems unlikely, given the workload demands, physical and mental, for the position. I'd expect a couple of weeks. Schematically, he could process a game plan by next Thursday. Tough to say if he'd feel like he was in football shape by then.

This is amazing news, but losing Glasgow and Brock Wright for tomorrow is a bummer. Need to make the playoffs for Ragnow to matter,

and tomorrow’s pretty critical.

Yup. If you're assuming the Rams game is an L, that leaves very little room for error. Technically, we can probably sneak in as a wild card with 10 wins, so 3-3 down the stretch, but we'd need some help. If we lose tomorrow, then the Dallas game becomes the season, pretty much.

I definitely don’t assume the Rams game is a loss.

Question: Does Ragnow slide right back into his most recent contract, or what he have to sign another contract?

They need 4 more wins to make the playoffs. Looking at the injury report the lions season is over. Franks return slightly changes that but I still don’t see 4 wins with frank

Tomorrow is now scary. And Rams. Would need Dallas, Pitt, Minn, Chicago, and then some help. None of that is assured.
