Detroit Lions GM Brad Holmes' exclusive interview with 'Lions Collective' podcast
Allen Park — It began with a conversation in late January, checking in on some interview possibilities for future stories. Two months later, the stars and busy schedules aligned.
On Tuesday afternoon, Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes sat down with the “Lions Collective” podcast for nearly an hour to discuss many of the topics that have been on the minds of the fan base.
Among the areas discussed were several of the team’s free agency additions, some of the strategies and financial limitations the team had during the signing period, what went into the decisions to trade David Montgomery and cut ties with Taylor Decker, the perceptions of bargain shopping on defense, a check in on the always-popular edge-rushing situation, navigating injuries at safety, and a recent report of behind-the-scenes conflict with coach Dan Campbell.
Watch the full video below, and be sure to subscribe to the “Lions Collective” podcast, a weekly show hosted by myself, the Athletic’s Colton Pouncy, 97.1-FM’s Will Burchfield and Crunch Time Sports’ Jeff Iafrate.
The “Lions Collective” airs live on YouTube every Wednesday (or occasionally Tuesday or Thursday, depending on schedules), and is available later that day on all the major podcast platforms.

I look forward to hearing some of the probing questions for Holmes from these guys and then his answers.
What a get! Congrats.
