On Tuesday afternoon, Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes sat down with the “Lions Collective” podcast for nearly an hour to discuss many of the topics that have been on the minds of the fan base.
The question is, if you are trying to build a playoff team, does picking a lot of cheaper third and fourth tier talent with injuries benefit the team in the next 3-5 years more than picking young fast unproven talent with a few tier 1 players instead? How do you balance getting players who bring you to the playoffs instead of just hitting the financial goals to field an average team?

Just finished listening. You guys did a great job asking direct questions and I think there is some good info from Brad. Biggest thing I took away is that if there may be some late adds after the draft of more seasoned vets. I'm thinking guys like Clowney, Calais, maybe even Zeitler if they wanted to go that route.
