Would you care to expound on your love of NOLA? Best places to eat see, things to do, besides café du monde and Commander's palace

Coming to you from NOLA before check-out after 4 nights. Spent all 4 evenings at least part of the time at Fritzel's Jazz Club, the oldest in NO, 700 block of Bourbon. Every evening group of 4 or 5 were excellent -- piano, trumpet, clarinet, stand-up bass, and drums. Same drummer all 4 nights. Music starts about 1pm with younger groups. Still good music, just not the same as nights. No cover, just buy drinks and tip at end of each 45 minute set.

Old NOLA Cookery on Bourbon and Creole House on Canal are my tops, but I almost always get etouffee. Friend goes for jambalaya and gumbo. Across from Creole House is Sazerac House which has a very nice tour for whiskey and rye lovers. Thumbs down on Cafe Beignet for beignets, always choose Cafe Du Monde at Jackson Square. Don't miss NOLA if driving in the area.

I’m hopeful Keanaaina can crack the roster at some point this season, perhaps that’s wishful thinking on my part though.
