Lions add more depth to the secondary, reaching agreement with CB McCreary
Allen Park — For the second time in as many days, the Detroit Lions have added veteran depth to the secondary. After inking versatile defensive back Christian Izien Friday morning, the team reached a one-year agreement with cornerback Roger McCreary in the afternoon.
The agreement was first reported by ESPN.
A former second-round pick out of Auburn, McCreary spent most of four seasons with the Tennessee Titans, before he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams ahead of the trade deadline in October.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder has experience playing both outside and in the slot, with close to two-thirds of his snaps coming as a nickel.
McCreary is coming off a season where he missed some time with a hip injury. In 14 games between Tennessee and Los Angeles, he tallied 37 tackles and two pass defenses and one interception.

I like it. Solid NB candidate
He was on my radar, I’ve got no problem with this and he seems like a solid Amik replacement.
Now that Anzo is gone, perhaps we will be playing less base after all. Two versatile DB signings in two days.
