Onwuzurike would be a nice exclamation point to that class. Might be too expensive.

Any concern about the $$? He's being paid top 20 LB money. Kerb next?

Not really. The top-XXX rankings matter little when the cap is steadily rising. Cap has gone up more than 24% in the past two years. By the end of the deal, if Barnes stays on the roster, average might rank somewhere between 40-50.

Do you anticipate that the initially reported numbers will be accurate, or is this a case (like with most contracts) that initial numbers are agent driven and the “real” contract value/structure is more team friendly?

Seems like a major overpay for a borderline nfl starter.

There might be some inflation there, but probably nothing worth writing home about. Almost all contract structures are team-friendly. The third year is almost certain to be a "team option" based on how Barnes is performing at that time.
