Would Cunningham be the emergency QB also? If I remember correctly he was signed before the Ravens game to play Lamar on the scout team. Just wondering if that's why they brought him up instead of Meeks in case ARSB can't go. Unless Monty would be the emergency QB.
If ever there was a time where the Lions need to be using two back sets the entire game, it’s tonight. Gibbs and Monty should be on the field together most of the game, you can spell either one occasionally with a third back, Vaki. Two back sets, help the OL, Jared Goff, and the potential for more downfield passing.
Not much more to say about this season. Losing Ben Johnson was tough enough. Losing our starting offensive interior line, Kerby Joseph, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, and all of the other depth players on the defensive and offensive lines is just too much for any team to overcome. I think the lesson going forward is to strike when the iron is hot. When you are as close as we were to making the SB two years ago, we needed to do whatever possible to fill those gaps. We didn't. And now, there can be no more future projects drafted on draft day. They must be the kind of guys that are ready to play right now. And when a talent comes available through trade or FA...we have to be aggressive going for it. I'd rather lose trying than never getting the chance again and wishing we had tried.
This continuing narrative that somehow Brad's draft picks are somehow the root of the teams problems, when in actual fact his drafting is a major contributor to any success that the team has enjoyed. You have to look at his work in total, not just pick on the few misses and go "ahah! That's the problem!"
Not sure how Goff has not stepped on any landmines. Knocking on wood.
God help us.
Thoughts and Prayers
Amen

Wouldn't they lose a blocker? I am thinking keep Skipper in there as a 6th blocker. Then we lose a skill guy but we are short on skill guys anyway.
Looks like TE is on the 2026 draft menu boys.

Minor correction Awosika is a second teamer, so we will play a third string guard tonight. UGH
